PICK OF THE WEEK: Bo Diddley - Friday, March 2nd - The Soiled Dove Underground, Denver, CO

Why You Should Go: Because Bo Diddley is a legend and at 78 years old he is still going strong. He is the man who redefined the electric blues when he burst onto the scene in the mid 50's and helped blues music transition into Rock-n-Roll. He has led a storied career and was even banned from the Ed Sullivan show after only one appearance.

You may recognize Diddley's signature hat or rectangular "Cigar Box" style guitar that he has been playing for most of his career but you are sure to recognize some of his more famous tunes. "Hey Bo Diddley" and "Who Do You Love" have stood the test of time and been covered by countless artists over the years.

Diddley is an aging master and the intimate confines of The Soiled Dove Underground is the perfect place to expose yourself to a musical history lesson of sorts as Diddley is sure to rock his way through some classics on Friday night.
